I paid 2.99 a gallon at a gas station in Seguin Texas last week.
I had just paid over $12 to take the superkickass-85 mph speed limit that means you can drive nearly 100pmh-tollroad from Georgetown to Seguin, so I needed a little discount.
On the double-plus side, I set a new personal record for the Dallas-San Antonio drive.

It was getting close to the 3$ range here in Austin last week. I haven't gotten gas since then tho. Maybe I'll do something this week after all

Petrol prices per litre where i live here in the UK are 144.9p.
A litre is apparently 0.264... US gallons. and 144.9p is $2.33, so I'm guessing we therefore essentially pay $9.32 per gallon, I believe.
