this is worse than the 94 unconstitutional legislation
of course, along with contract of america, the assault weapons ban was why the democrats lost the house and senate in the biggest swing in like forever. knowing that perhaps the democrats won't be so keen on destroying their constituents' constitutionally protected rights -- they have to worry about their job (which is of course more important than people's rights)

This "proposal" is rediculous. If passed - which it may never - won't survive long. This will be challeneged in court and struck down. The problem isn't guns, it's crazy people.

The Second Amendment doesn't guarantee your right to own assault weapons.
Sigmund Freud defined four parts of a psyche; the id, the ego, the superego and the stratego. The Stratego being the highest form of morality and scientific thinking.
If guns are not outlawed, the in-laws will have guns.

It's like not there are two different types of firearms one for defense and one for attack and you are talking about eliminating only the one used to attack.
