If you wanted to ban something that contributes heavily to both deaths by violence and deaths by auto accident, something that will really be effective and save lives and property you should be talking about banning alcohol.

Maybe we should ban high capacity packaging of alcoholic beverages. You don't need 6 beers. That would save a lot of lives.

Yes, I'm aware it didn't work. Why do you expect it to work in the case of banning guns if it didn't work with alcohol prohibition?

eliminating the ford pinto also didn't stop automobile deaths. however eliminating all cars would drastically reduce them.
