a framed painting
a bottle of hendricks
a fishing rod and reel
a cashmere scarf
a book of comics
a car detailing (the surprise after christmas gift)
i gave people gifts ranging from ornaments (i got my mother a "trust me i'm a doctor" that has a medical doctor's outfit on it because she just finished her defense of her dissertation for her doctorate... in education) to the nexus 7. surprisingly, i gave my father no booze this year. he did get a few books and albums from me though (tame impala and cat power, if you must know)
my littlest sister made out like a bandit. she got a kitchen aid mixer, a kitchen aid food processor, and my mother's 6 year old car. my mother said there hasn't been a woman since the 50s so happy to get a mixer. still, she is poor compared to the rest of us. my other sister is the one who gave her a kitchen aid. i don't know why she was being so nice, but she does have an excess of money
