....so, what do you think of the idea, now that (I think) you understand it?

I think it's compelling, although not sure if it would work or if people would ever sign off on it.

The idea is the same with jurors--why should you have your fate decided by potentially uneducated, illiterate people who could be easily swayed by lawyerly tricks and emotional pleas? Instead staff the jury box with professional jurists who won't be susceptible to the same manipulation.

So for that reason, I think it's worth looking into. Why not?

Hey--I'm always on the lookout for new ideas. That one makes sense like the jury one makes sense. Whether it will ever survive, LOL, for so many reasons:

-The two parties would ABHOR anything that threatens the status quo
-The media would abhor the loss of millions/billions in campaign cash
-The oligarchs/plutocrats would abhor the idea of not being able to pump billions into PACs to sway voters

Yup. Three reasons right there to do it. F*** yeah. I quite like the idea actually.

Please forgive my skepticism at first; I'm used to dealing with so-called "anarchists" here who always simply want to eliminate... gov't.
