better than it was a couple years ago when my mortgage was over 50% (this is a relic from my marriage, and i am stuck with this f**k place)

I manage to set aside about 15% of my income. The rest I spend on beer, pot and expensive dinners.

I dont have one. If I feel like buying something I do it. Right now Im banking about close to 80-90% of my income.

10% fun (trips, movies, events, shit like that)

My retirement and emergency fund contributions are skimmed off the top straight from my paycheck so aren't included here. Those are roughly 15% of our (re mostly my) monthly income.

And yeah Im pretty anal with money hence the detailed budget. I made my SO put her accounts on my mint.com so I could track exactly what I was buying when I pay off her credit cards.

i make decent money and cola in bethlehem is pretty cheap so i should be living it up

but unfortunately i still have a lot of student loans to pay off and i live by myself so i dont split my rent with anyone

27% - rent + renters ins
26% - credit card payments
20% - student loans
13% - utilities
11% - car + ins

unfortunately, this is almost all of my monthly income and youll notice i didnt list gas or groceries, or beer, or any "fun" extra curriculars of which i am quite fond

so the net is that i put more on my credit card than i should, and am in debt on that thing
