Only in America is winning in the juniors indicative of supremacy, and getting a number one draft pick major news =))

You guys are cute.

I'm sure in 50-100 years, you will be number one in hockey. In the meantime, this nation one-tenth your size will continue to provide triple the percentage of NHL players, all of the top scorers, all of the top defenders, all of the top goalies... and every now and again... you guys can have a Mike Richter or some other minor star. Even the goddamn Europeans do it better than you.

Truth be told, I haven't been following hockey much, as I don't care for it outside an actual professional league... but I am glad to see a minor contributor to hockey step up its game. One day, you guys will be good at it too. Congrats.

Just watched some of the game and... wow... wtf were the coaches thinking? Half the goddamn team was playing out of position. Looks like there is going to be some heads rolling because of this. Spott is such a jackass, my god...

And that first period... these kids did not have their head in the game. Don't blame them though... we won five golds in a row from 2005-2009, and not many Canadians are happy with anything but gold. Could be a pressure thing, I dunno. Whatever the cause, after we finished Russia and the US in the prelims, our game fell apart. Not good.
