i can go relative to one another but i have difficulty finding fault with many albums

Ariel Pink is good not great, The Walkmen is i guess decent... but like i said, they are still somewhere on rotation so not that bad. although silversun pickups and band of horses were giant disappoint

Tame Impala, Japandroids, Black Keys -- top three and, if you haven't, give them a listen. really. Tame Impala bottled up The Beatles - Revolver and turned it into a new album. Japandroids album is high energy rock, and Black Keys, well, what can one say. it's the black keys

if you like female vocalists this should be a top album of 2012 for you. it has been for me.

The top 3 albums are great and some of the best albums in recent years. I love my Fiona and she can do no wrong. NO WRONG. Beach House is f**k awesome and have gotten into them heavily in the last year. The Tallest Man On Earth is also brilliant. Rounds out a great top 3.

First Aid Kit was my new artist of the year that I discovered. Love their sound. Beth Orton's album was pretty good, though I've only listened to it a little.

Was hoping for more out of Cat Power but it was okay. Shins was my biggest disappointment of the year followed by Metric (who lost all the mo from their last album). Silversun pickups is a one album wonder at this point. TMV is gone for me at this point.

Not a lot of albums and only really 4 albums worth caring about. Top heavy for me as everything else was pretty meh. I probably have some more to look into, though. Only listened to like 17 albums this year.

Interestly, 6 of my top 7 are headlined by women. 3 more albums that I've heard, as well. Over half of my 2012 albums! Whoa!

Fiona Apple's new album was certainly in the top three for me. I haven't even heard of some of the others in the lists. I will have to check some of this out.

im disappointed in your list simply because it's so short, and first aid kit is only one i haven't heard

also, i was disappointed in tallest man on earth, compared to previous album

I had 6 other albums (with 1 pending) in my list but they weren't worth listing, like silversun pickups.

I've been very busy this past year and just haven't had time to find new music.
