I feel like using the tag line "slightly conservative" is meaningless. It tells you nothing about a given person's stance because of the incremental nature of the label. The actual reference of Rockefeller Republican has been used by past presidents whose policies are easily determined by doing a web search. Outside of that the varying degrees of conservatism mean different things to different people diminishing the value of the actual generalization to the point of it serving no real purpose. Nixon was a Rockefeller republican. Eisenhower. Hell, probably even Reagan. Affiliation with past precedent provides greater insight than these generic terms.
