Vodka = alcohol (which tastes like crap) + water (which is tasteless). Basically, you have watered-down crap taste.
Go for a nice light rum. Best drink out there, IMHO. Not too heavy, like the starter fluid they try to pass off as whiskey or bourbon. And, not too light. And, unlike tequilla, you can mix it with just about anything.
Crafted in America's oldest premium run distillery. Slight burn if drunk neat, but awesome when mixed with other things.
