what efforts were those? their competency of the first tuareg insurrection? or the successful coup's they've launched?
not sure what your indignation is over this. you're way too emotional. never did i say they were glorious warriors, or even implied any sort of greatness to them. what i did was make fun of their complete and total failure to stop a problem that should have been relatively easily handled.

Now Niger, Burkina Faso, Senegal and Nigeria have agreed to send in troops to help.
If you're going to partake in military action in a foreign country, taking on right wing religious fundamentalists is one of the better excuses. Do we really want to see a democracy overthrown be Islamic extremists?
