god damn neighbor dogs barking for 4 hours straight.

yes, my neighbor has 2 yapping, barking ass dogs now. they were outside all night last night barking (in the freezing rain) and they have been barking since. She was home for a while but put them back out. The dogs don't stop barking when they are outside. one barks normal, the other has an extremely high pitched bark.

Its bad enough she leaves tiny dogs with short hair out in the cold and rain for hours on end, but then they bark non stop any time they are outside. Getting ready to start making formal complaints about it. I'm going to talk to her about it and see if she can't just put them in a crate in the apartment or something.

I'm honestly surprised none of the other neighbors have poisoned them or something yet. Some shady people that live behind us and I can't imagine they are happy with dogs barking all night long.

If she is leaving them out in bad weather that is abuse and should be reported.

Barking dogs are never OK.

Check your local ordinance - there may be rules about how long an animal can be kept outside unattended. In my town for instance the hard limit is 1 hour

You should definitely take her aside and tell her you're worried for the dog's safety from other angry neighbors. Best to approach like someone looking out for her interests, AKA trying to help her, rather than coming off confrontational and angry. People are weird about being told how to behave, which I'm sure you already know.

Otherwise you can most definitely call the local SPCA/authorities on it, because that is straight up abuse. Especially since they are smaller dogs, and also since it's a chronic issue.

I've got a metric ton of experience on inconsiderate noisy ass f**k neighbors. Nothing worse IMO. Like a prevailing bad smell.

I wouldn't bother approaching the neighbor. If she's that clueless to do this, I can see her going on the defensive and it won't end nicely. Call the ASPCA and see if they can direct you. If they're small like that, and it's freezing rain, that constitutes abuse.

I have the same problem, but it's a couple of mentally challenged (literally) kids. They also toss their junk over our fence. I refuse to stop for their short bus now because we've spoken to their parents at least forty times and it's always met with scorn.
