It doesn't grant a foetus rights. It can't have rights because the pregnant woman has rights. It isn't possible for two entities occupying the same body to have the same rights.

It's certainly nuts. The law says It's OK for a woman to end an unwanted pregnancy one week for more or less any reason she chooses, yet not the next.

It's not about the foetus having rights, but is supposed to be about so called ethics. In reality, it's a nut for a parrot.
