It would be fair to say that Menson's motivations did actually set him up to be the most psychologically punished in terms of return on investment. The only way you get inherent reward from teaching is if you have a backstory to your life that involves the subject that you are now sharing. Menson's background is a schoolyard. That's not going to sustain anyone unless they invest their entire worth as a human being into the grades they achieved, and the vicarious nature of their students getting those same grades.
