Even the person that actually did make that connection is speculating. I don't see how it had a logical bearing since the person alledgedly 'saved' wasn;t in the room that was being shot up.

It's the same circular argument that hunters don't need AR-15s. I have actually tried to argue that point with an anti-gun neighbor of mine. Three times I kept repeating to him that the 2nd Amendment said nothing about hunting. He wouldn't listen and kept babbling that assault rifles aren't used for hunting and therefore should be banned.
