See, the thing is, as a defense lawyer, you can refuse cases. If someone comes up to you and says "Hey, I killed my kid but I want you to get me out of it" and you accept the case, that makes you a piece of shit in my view.
This girl had already told a buttload of lies. She lied about virtually every aspect of everything that happened in that case. It was clear as day to everyone involved that she was lying about everything. So if you know someone is lying about everything and isn't telling the truth and you take the case, it means you are trying to help that person lie and get out of trouble.
Now, if you are a court appointed lawyer, you don't really get a choice in the matter as far as I know so I don't blame those people. But Baez was not court appointed. He took the case for fame and glory and so he can get more business and make more money off of f**k the system and keeping scumbags, killers, molesters, whatever on the street.
