the leaves on the right part of the note are sugar maple. the one above the 20 is norway maple. which is fine, except it's not your national symbol, the sugar maple is. why would you "hybridize" the national symbol? that makes no sense, as much sense as hybridizing the image of the queen. why not make it a 3 instead of a 2 and call it a twenty dollar bill that says "30" on it for "security reasons". your canada apologetics are getting way out of hand

I am speculating on the reasons behind the decision to not use a plain, easily reproduced sugar maple leaf. I could frankly give a shit less that it is "the wrong leaf." I am also not interested in seeing any money spent to fix this totally meaningless problem.
