i think you can punish parents for abusing their children psychologically the same way you can for them doing it physically without destroying the right to privacy.

physical abuse is pretty subjective too. at least in determining if it's abuse or if it's a mistake. then there are the clear cut examples. same with psychological abuse. sure it's debatable if naming your kid adolph hitler stalin mao is abuse, but then when you try and "cure" your children of their sexuality by saying they are fundamentally broken i think it starts to move into clear cut territory.
