according to genetic analysis, mating a female neanderthal with a male human didn't result in anything (or never happened). male neanderthals apparently sired some hybrids that make up a few percentages of asian-european bloodlines. yes, similar, but no, not the same species

Galt, this is a case where the dictionary just doesn't matter, for the reasons already pointed out.

It doesn't matter in the slightest what the genetic makeup of a person is. They are persons just the same. The chemistry just isn't relevant.

A copper pipe and a plastic pipe are both pipes. The chemistry doesn't matter there, either. Its the result that matters, not the process that led to it.
