What do you think produces inequality in society

In the absence of vigorously enforced culture norms the nuclear family unit has pretty much been discarded in favor of more flexible arrangements that better fit the tastes of the individuals having the relationships. This clearly shows that the nuclear family unit is not the default smallest unit of social organization in the human species. To the contrary is is a later development that occurred in conjunction with the rise of "civilization" and it's attendant system of statism. And the human animal must be heavily socially conditioned to accept and constrain itself within this monogamous structure.

Many cannot maintain the facade long in the face of instinctive drives that evolved over millennia, which totally explains today's high rate of failure associated long term marital relationships.

The "decline in morality" that is frequently observed is nothing more than the process of discarding onerous cultural baggage that has no place in the fast paced modern world.

People produce their own inequality willingly. It's psychological. A dysfunction within the human brain. Human beings have always been willing to trade freedom and equality for perceptions of security. They have always clamored for authority figures and structures over them. One can even trace the phenomena back through ancient literature...look up 1st Samuel 8 in the bible, or Judges 10, for an example.

If you would like a more thorough breakdown of the theory, I'll be glad to oblige. But suffice to say for now, people create their own inequality, do it willingly, and always have, and will for the forseeable future, until this mental affliction is addressed and cured.

I don't think any of this is very relevant to the reasons why people create inequality and "evil". It's a basic dysfunction in the brain itself. Agrarian or not, humans and their cultures have clamored for inequality since the beginning of history. It's apparent even in practically all religious rituals. The whole concept of pacifying an angry god in exchange for immortality and life is an example. It's psychological as well as social and while it does of course have causes somewhat in materialistic conditions of society it's really a disconnect in the brain as well.
