well one of the grandest assumptions, as kane has pointed out, is that everyone is working in a top-down power structure instead of being lateral, which is how it works in reality. then the assumption is that everyone in the administration knew exactly what happened at the same time and willfully chose to lie about it, which is a distortion of the timeline of events. well maybe not a distortion, just a gross assumption of when things took place.

You're telling me it legitimately took a month for the President to be informed that this had nothing to do with the video? It took one month to figure that out, and pass it on? Apparently an ambassador being killed really isn't a big deal.

You're also telling me that you honestly believe what information should be shared wasn't based on deliberate choice, but rather was the result of the President not knowing what was going on? Not sure what role you think a Press Secretary plays, but it is a safe assumption he speaks for the President, don't you think?

The administration would have had a lot more credibility if it had said, "initial reports led us to believe that the attack spawned from a protest over the anti-Islam video, but as information comes in, we are no longer certain the initial assessment is true."

first of all that was a weekly address, not one given specifically for benghazi. second of all there were like a dozen embassy incidents around the world having to do with the video, the biggest being in cairo. benghazi isn't the only thing that happened but yeah say the context of the video (lolwutwutwut) really shows the conspiracy.
