AP and PreAP kids - 1 or 2 absences a day, 1 suspension (maybe) a year, overwhelmingly participate in some extracurricular (even if academic), less discipline issues.
Regular kids - 5-10 absences a day (lol keep up with the paperwork!), 2-3 suspensions a month, half don't do anything outside of school.
It really does come down to the parents and the expectations they set out, because it's then reflected in their elementary teachers. After that it just plummets.
Unless preAP kids suddenly get sick less often.
