The NYPD is one of the best, if not the best PD in the world.... They handle their own anti-terrorism so well many believe it's better then the Feds. These 'flash mobs' aren't going to Mensa meetings after these flash attacks. This will go away in 6-12 months.

I can't believe you are comparing this to $190 bil credit card fraud, and having the city collapsing, and to stop it NYC needs to be a police state...

In a city of 9 mil, 1 article mentioning 1 person got a broken arm and you have the whole city falling into the toilet? You'll say anything to try and prove the whole country needs to be armed to the teeth..

I like your optimism Mr.Bill in the form of a rant.

I will digress that it's a massive city and only one person so far that has gotten hurt, that we know of, is not a major issue. I simply wanted to start a topic for discussion because I believe the implications of this will escalate if the PD doesn't stop these flash mobs. Kids will feel more emboldened to carry out more of these attacks the more they get away with it.

I am not saying credit card fraud isn't a major problem, just that dismissing this as being a problem is an attempt to downplay it.
