USPS To Cut Saturday Mail Delivery

Yes, keep cutting the workforce. But we all know that those continue job cuts will cause screaming and yelling in those districts/states that will be affected.. And even if those Congressmen and Senators of those affected areas are so called 'fiscal conservatives' they will do anything and everything to stop the cuts.

They've made some cuts, but they got to keep cutting.. Hopefully Congress will stay out of the way.

Another thought on the postal service going private..

I live in a populated area.. Yet about 1/2 of the time when I get packages from Amazon, or ebay the packages are shipped from Amazon or the Ebay seller via UPS or Fedex, UNTIL they get to my area then they are dropped off at my local post office.. Then the post office delivers them to my house.

I can't imagine UPS or Fedex ever delivering 100% of the time to rural areas.. Hell they are delivering less and less to residential houses in populated areas. They still deliver to my house sometimes, but more and more the PO is delivering UPS and Fedex packages to my door.

most of what i get delivered in the mail is junk because i get almost all my important financial statements online

they should stop wasting so many trees on the stuff that i throw straight into the trash

Postal services should be privatized, this burden should not be shouldered by taxpayers.

oh wow, taxpayers cover blind people and military overseas and enforcing child support laws. Fine, we have a special provision for those people but nothing else is and it's not even $100 million.

Out of the over $70 billion budget. Yeah, we shouldn't fund the mail for our active duty military we sent off the war.

Give me a break.
