The Second Amendment is the most damaging legal right ever invented.

Handguns need to be prohibited weapons, legally carried only by those who can demonstrate a need before the court. Keep in mind, this should include cops too, as the vast majority have no need for a hand gun whatsoever.

As for the rest of guns, whatever. They are statistically irrelevant. Just be aware that the notion that guns make you safer is as irrational as the notion that they inherently place you in danger.

Anyways, not like it matters. You guys have a right to handguns lulz.

im glad to live in a country where we are free to debate this

and until we come to an agreeable resolution, we retain the right to bear arms

and in times when we constantly complain about gridlock in congress

im glad that we cant let our reactions to tragedies quickly translate into bad legislation

with all due respect to the victims of newton, nothing will really change as a result of that tragedy

at what point would you consider the country to be "united" - on any issue?

obama just won re-election what - 53 to 47 on the popular? we are a pretty divided country right now

at least on the emotionally driven issues

i wouldnt expect a president - from either party - to be able to unite this country

frankly, im not sure that its the presidents responsibility to do so in the first place
