I don't consider the penalties excessive. I think stiff penalties are partly responsible for the decrease in drunk driving that America has seen.

I get asked that every time I am pulled over, and yes, it is extremely annoying and intrusive.
It's gotten to the point where people are losing their licenses because they stayed over night someplace, and when they get up in the morning, they still are in 'the warm zone.'
Yup, punishing people for having some alcohol in their blood right after they decided not to drive right after drinking. It is very unreasonable.

I actually worry about the idiots with their cellphones more then the drunks,lol.

i dont think that is what Ex said. he said they would be charged with reckless driving and criminal endangerment...is that a $150 ticket? i dont think so.
