one thing i dont understand: why does the US not produce more coal? the US goes all out with oil and natural gas, the reserves to production ratio (or reserve life) for those has always been 10-15 years for the last century. coal by comparison has a reserve life of 239 years in the US. just surprises me that more coal isn't produced, i know theres plenty of companies who want to do it. is it just regulations or somethin?
