Women are encouraged to always, always prioritize their own safety, concerns and emotions. Men are taught the exact opposite. A woman considering a divorce will be told to think about what is best for her and "her" kids. A man will be told to do his best to compromise and work on the relationship, ostensibly for their kids (not just "his", obviously). To even consider his own feelings as a factor is a sign of weakness, and will be looked upon as such.
These are generalities of course, but it's no surprise that women initiate divorce more than men and are inherently advantaged in DV cases and divorce law. For a woman to lose custody of her kids she would have to literaly shoot up crack in front of a judge.
There are, afaik, an equivalent proportion of personality disorders in both sexes (Narcissitic Personality Disorder, "Borderline" P.D, psychopathy, etc). I believe the vast majority of false rape accusations, female domestic abuse (emotional or physical) of children or husbands, entrapment by way of pregnancy, are all commited by a small percentage of women who are mentally unstable. Due to a culture of paternalism that encourages infantilizing women and treat them as objects devoid of any agency, and cultural memes such as "maternal instinct", these self-centered reptiles devoid of a conscience can easily manipulate public perception to be on their side. Even "normal" people, whether they be male or female, can very easily carry vindictive feelings over the course of a divorce. Using the court system to punish out of spite and hatred (with the full support of some lawyers, who profit quite a lot from it) isn't that rare.
Ironically this concept of women as incompetent perpetual victims unable to handle problems on their own and requiring constant external help is the very root of the nebulous concept of "patriarchy".
