paul is in hour 8 of his filibuster and even if he doesn't succeed he will have drawn attention to this issue. i don't think it sits right with many americans that the president has asserted this authority, even though a bit of a majority of americans approve of drone strikes in general. i think and hope it may help many reevaluate their position on them
what's striking is it's hour 8 and paul said he will stop once the white house says it won't target americans IN AMERICA with drones. maybe they just want him to talk forever so the senate doesn't get anything done and they really would never do that. maybe.
