im not playing sandbox, but i'll play whatever map


as for sc if the story makes little sense in that it's romeo and juliet business. but just go with it. i felt that what was really good about it was the interface and flow from mission to mission. i haven't completed it yet though

sandbox has cheats, there really is little point imo other than just trying stuff out. the real game doesn't have cheats

btw, hots is easily best blizzard game from a single player standpoint. haven't played any mutliplayer since launch (played beta some) but i know it is good as well. the cinematics are top notch as is the interface and mission flow and its incorporation in the story. only thing that was a bit of a disappointment is that normal is tuned to a very easy setting, imo, but i'll just play it again on harder. only took maybe 10 hrs to beat on normal

region play kinda sucks if they are not all connected. this is stupid, i should be able to be on the map and send resources to anyone else. dumb.

that aside a few things for you exploited. the sewage outflow pipes dump shit, literally, onto the ground in one spot. if you put more pipes in one spot they will back up quickly and the ground will be soaked in shit. i think planting trees (not the park, trees) will clean it up faster. of course first trees you plant will die repeatedly until it's only somewhat polluted

i have with my two cities unlocked i believe everything except for maybe the fire/police/hospital upgrades, and those are unlocked for the region. when i went to bed i was researching the upgrade to the wind plant so you'll also be able to use that soon i think. next time i upgrade the university i'll add school of science and i'll upgrade the solar array. anyway, using a treatment plant instead of the outlet pipe is way better. in addition, the treatment plant dumps clean water -- water that you can then have the water pump to use. it's a nice little cycle you can go with.

you have no mass transit. i dunno why. you should get some buses working -- plus then they'll bus to neighboring cities, including my industrial one near you that needs workers badly. i have a large bus terminal in there and it will drop off and pick up people in your town if you have stops at least

i always seem to need workers. i just want to make a giant city of projects for all the low income jobs i need to have all the damn time. that's my goal tonight, to get projects up. my citizens are too damn wealthy. i want them to be happy without money, but how is this possible??? well i mean it's possible in the game i suppose:

well my educated city is far away and can't send anything to near you. which is dumb. that's the city with high pop that's researching everything. the one near you is so hilly i have barely any space. i barely have any money there except for the money from my oil ventures. of which i need to expand... but i don't like this thing that says "2 months oil supply under building". one day/night cycle = 1 month... and it looks like there is a lot more than a month's left... anyway, i need to up density alot on low income areas is all. way too many jobs and people in trailer homes. they at least should be in shitty apartments.

anyway, once the wind thing is complete it'll then allow you to build them. i will build them of course as well but one can only send a fraction of their power/water/sewage to neighbors, you can't send all of it, but each one does 15MW in 10mph winds as opposed to each solar panel which is 8MW during day (and as opposed to small wind turbine with is 3MW in 10mph). also, i hate that i can't sell buildings for at least a fraction of the cost. also i made a perfect circle avenue taking up 1/4th of the map twice... both times, it popped into an oval even though it looked as if it would be a large circle. i didn't have enough to demolish it again and build it again... it's a rather harsh treatment of mistakes if you ask me

btw, the financial upgrade i put on a town hall allows you to take out 100K bonds

I built a coal plant in a city I've got set aside for mining... Cedargates I think. The wind is blowing away from my commercial city so it's perfect for me to free up space while meeting my power needs. If you need extra power let me know and I'll add capacity.

As for the oil don't worry about that warning. If you have black deposits you are good for a long time.
