Yeah pretty big burn on them. Making up shit about how the game couldn't be played off the servers because of calculations that the servers were supposedly making. They have a HUGE PR mess on their hands now.

Probably the worst launch and resulting disaster management I've ever seen, actually. It is usually only oil conglomerates and fruit combines that behave this nefariously.

it's true, ea is shit. ive never thought much of them and i don't know anyone that has

i'm hoping modding will fix it (and that ea won't f**k people over for doing that), as the game is visually quite nice and think with improvements will be awesome. but that won't be until like 2014 before all the problems are fixed

they should release a map editor though too. map editor + modding will make the game wonderful, over time. sad that it has to be that way but that's the way it is with ea and their shit

They have to limit the level of creativity with their product if they want to make all that money off of it. I doubt you'll ever see modding. Cities will get larger, glassbox will be revised constantly, etc.

Yeah, they're assigning importance to different street types so that route isn't the only determining factor when the sim decides on path. I remember reading that they're weighted by a percentage: Dirt roads: 25%, Single Lane Paved: 50%, Medium Density Roads 75%, etc.

Basically, yes. Or during alpha...or during beta. I don't get the feeling that they played this game at all prior to launch.

Pretty much watching SC2 and LOL - no interest in CoD much. Was fun to watch/listen while at work today. Still more games tomorrow.
