I notice in recent years that we burn countless political hours tilting at windmills by chasing things that are never going away, like gay people.
Or, in another respect, social programs. You can fantasize all you want about how we'll dump social security, medicare or medicaid but if you really think we're going to be the superpower of industrialized nations that does away with those things, dream on.
So why are we wasting our time on fantasy? Get to fixing them, instead of chasing pipe dreams of eradicating them.
Not sure what time so many of these people are trying to turn the clock back to, but they are looking backward. To a time that never existed anyway.
The worst part about so many people looking backward is they never seen what's going on right in front of them.
