so i had a growler on easter. i just sat down and drank a growler. which is 64oz. i had the Town Hall 1800 English IPA, which, i just looked up is 8.6 ABV.
now, beers/drinks that they serve in this country are typically 12 oz. pints are 16 but they're cheap with those too, letting it get lots of head. anyway. imperial pints, on the other hand, are 20oz.
well after 64 oz i was not in any condition to drive (i wasn't planning on it). that's a bit over 3 english pints. so i think it just is what is or is not considered a full drink. with two english pints (roughly 4 drinks in the states) i would be fine to drive, but perhaps 5 drinks is too much. that said, i just sat down and drank the thing and didn't eat any food and it was a high alcohol content beer (yet surprisingly smooth, so smooth i just drank a whole growler of it)
