No doubt the Phils were monsters 2008-2011. Unfortunately, we really sold the farm to put together those teams in the 2009-2011 seasons. Ironically, it was only the more organic 2008 team that managed to win the World Series. That was before we ditched Pat Burrell and picked up Ibanez; before we acquired Roy Halladay and Cliff Lee. Anyway, the whole team is aging and our farm system is pretty thin so I don't expect great things in the next couple years, but who knows.

I'm just saying don't automatically count out the Phillies because right now their BP looks like it ill suck. BP's are notoriously fickle, both ways.. And with the Phillies starters, I wouldn't count them out.

I'm a big fan of good starting pitching. And if the Phillie starters are healthy and pitching to their potential. They'll make noise, IMO..

Well starting pitching is the one place I think we can shine this year. I'll be praying for a bullpen miracle.

sadly, i think the phils will be lucky to come in 2nd in the division this year (to atlanta)

got to my first game of the season this weekend. the Rocks are looking pretty good, for the Rocks.

ps....the Rockies have the Yankees at home tonight in front of a near sell out crowd (which is very good for a chilly weekday)...so we'll see how good they are.
