Funny how so many memories are short. Thatcher saved the UK, without her the country would have become a poor man's France (or even one of the PIIGS) instead of being the financial capital of Europe rivaled only by Germany. The coal mines were practically exhausted and ruled by unions and it was on the verge of collapse since Australia and the the third world were already surpassing it; UK was economically dead by the 70's and it was her that made England great again.

Farewell, Iron Lady- you were one of thew few politicians who I truly admired because you showed that one could kick socialist arse and prove them wrong.

It is one of my great regrets in life that I'm not old enough to remember the socialist utopia that was 1970's Great Britain before Thatcher came along and ruined it for everyone.

My question is that if Thatcher wasnt elected would Labor have had the guts to take back the Falklands when Argentina invaded it?

Foot supported military intervention in the Falklands. Not all Labour back benchers might not have done but the Labour leadership did. So yes, I reckon if it had come to an Argentine invasion and Labour were in power, military intervention would also have been used.
