Yeah I read the books in the off season and I have to say I'm not sure if I'd be able to follow the new episodes if I hadn't. The amount of material they're forced to cover in 10 episodes means they can't possibly explain what's going on sufficiently.

That was gruesome. I knew exactly what was coming and that still ripped my heart out. Well done, that episode was fantastic, but now i'm just..... :/
