I f**k hate that god damn shit. I hate stupid "rewards" cards at place like gas stations. f**k I don't give a damn. You're just a gas station. You don't offer me any service that's unique that I can't get at literally any other gas station on the planet. Maybe if one of your lazy, dumb worker people came out and pumped my gas, put air in my tires, and washed my windows at the same time we'd have something, but obviously that isn't going to happen.

The reward card "perks" are dumb. 2 Redbulls for $4? Why. I never. I guess I'll get a Speedy Rewa..... oh wait, I don't have to have the card to get that price? Damn that shit's genius.

Quit bugging me and asking me every f**k day if I want your stupid rewards card. How about you just lower your prices and act like everybody has a rewards card without spending all this stupid time and money on cards?

Kroger + I'm looking at you too. I "save" on your jacked up prices? What if, oh, idk, you just sold everything at the Kroger + cost? What is the point of this shit? It's not an exclusive club. Anybody can get the reward card.

I hate the stupid idiots that try and make me get one every day. Listen, retard, I've been coming to your podunk gas station everyday for 5 months. I didn't want one the first time, I don't want one 5 months later. Are you dumb? Seriously are you dumb? It's not like the CEO of Speedway is sitting behind your back making sure you ask somebody every time, after the first week you should just never ask me again.

Reward cards are more about creating a sales database and tying them to a particular customer than giving you a reward. Don't want them creating a sales database on you... pay jacked up prices on your groceries. Safeway does that shit too. Places like Costco are more subtle about it.

Never had a gas station ask me to sign up for one before though, of course I can't remember the last time I actually bought anything at one other than gas which is pay at the pump.

I like linked rewards cards. For instance, Shell has a program with Winn Dixie (grocery store) here. With my WD card, at the grocery store I usually save about 15-20% of my total bill. Given my family of 4, and our $200/week food bill, that's $30-$40 off my bill (assuming I buy the things on special). Then, I also get rewards to use at Shell. Ostensibly, I get $0.05 per gallon off for ever $50 I spend at WD. But, some things give double points.

In the end, I spend roughly $200 on groceries and $100 on gas per week. I get $35 off the groceries, and $15 off on gas. So, for the $300 I spend on groceries/gas, I save $50 back.

Yes, I guess that they could charge "everyone" less. But, they don't. They want my info. To me, my info is worth far less than $200 per month (but don't tell them that!).

I like the safeway rewards thing. Get a buck off per gallon once in a while. Adds up.

I have fixed my rewards card problem. I give my Mom's phone number when asked by a clerk or the POS keypad which is linked to her card, address, etc. The stores I frequent that demand a card are the same as the ones she does since we live near each other (Walgreens, CVS, Safeway, Shell gas, etc). I don't have to carry any plastic on my key-chain nor am I tracked by a database and mom & dad get my reward points.

Eric you should do this to save your sanity.
