If only we had just bought the Taliban a bunch of Russian helicopters in the 90s. 9/11 would have never happened.

Judging from some of the events of the Afghan and Iraq occupations, was a solution ever part of the equation?
More ammo, more ordnance, more cash, more blood, more of everything except solutions.
I don't see how these Russian birds are a solution. Maybe a going away present.
I think we just waded into another situation that has no resolution and hasn't done much to change Afghanistan.
We have a whole new generation of youth that hate America. The circle continues.

I wasn't disputing that. I was pointing out that AQ operations weren't confined to Afghanistan based on your comment " if it weren't for the Taliban, there's a high probability that AQ's 9/11 plan may never have happened,".

But being able to train on their little monkey bars or whatever wasn't a key part in getting passports, and paying for people to take flight lessons.
