Truthfully, for the percentage of time that modern humans have existed 99.9999% of that time was spent living communally with every person keeping what they were able to produce from the communally owned land. It has only been within the last 5000 years or so that we privatized the commons and learned to use slavery and war to concentrate wealth and political power for certain individuals who became rulers.
Apparently that previously communal lifestyle was successful because we came to dominate all other life forms and it lasted around 200K years, so you can't say it isn't stable. Compare that to industrial statism, which has been around for around 150-200 years and is already dangerously altering the environment.
So you are on the wrong side of that argument as well.
