I'm not saying we need a 3rd Reich type central rigid control over all school districts..
But I don't see much good if in a mostly Spanish speaking school district just because the parents pay the taxes and it's 'their' children' they decide since we speak mostly Spanish here lets cut out all English courses. Or in a conservative district they decide that all history will be taught based on their 'fact' that the Earth is only 6,000 years old..
And you all know these kinds of things will happen..
You need some guidelines.
