Which then prompts the question: why are people voting for people who are just going to screw them to enrich themselves?

Although in fairness to AAs, while Democrats simply just Talk the Talk (and that seems to be enough), it's almost like of late the GOP has gone out of their way to alienate them.

Which, again, makes no sense considering the lessons of November 2012 where minorities without any doubt made the difference.

What's so amazing is the disconnect between people and what their "leaders" are actually doing for them. Or, more importantly, not doing for them.

That's a neat trick, conditioning a whole population into not judging you on job performance.

I marvel at it the same way I marvel at the televangelists who somehow manage to convince their flocks that they're "holy" when they're robbing them blind while enriching themselves.

Like: how can you NOT see it?

Maybe G5000's right: Henrietta Syndrome.

In this case the party was seriously rebuked back in November and yet they appear to have learned nothing from it.

Or, perhaps the more realistic way to look at it based on your thoughts is: they know they don't have to.
