Toronto was amalgamated a number of years back, out of three or four totally different municipalities. Ford got the dumbass suburbanite vote while running on your typical populist cut-taxes platform. Everyone who lives in Toronto proper hates the man. For some reason, his supporters keep on supporting him. Usually they mumble stuff about liberal media and various left-wing conspiracies against him. Basically he is your average dickhead Republican.
